Sandwiches. You can get about 10-12 sandwiches out of a loaf of bread. Make your fillings ahead of time, but don't make the sandwiches until the day before or the morning of the wedding. Choose both white and wheat and cut the crusts off the bread. Cut all the crusts off the bread, throw the crusts outside for the birds, and put the cut bread back into the sack so it won't dry off. Once you're done, you can start filling them. Spread the filling on the bread thin, these are finger sandwiches, not hoagies. I cut the sandwiches in half on the diagonal. It's prettier than in half vertically. I also put them in a large catering pan, put SLIGHTLY moistened paper towels on top of them, cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate. They'll stay fine.
Use small tuna fish sized cans, leftover ham, or one of the larger cooked, canned hams
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Sweet pickle relish
Salt, if you desire
Chop up the ham real fine. I use a mini-food processor. Put it in a large bowl with the relish and mayonnaise and stir real well. Put in enough mayonnaise so the mixture isn't dry. Then put in a small amount of mustard, a tablespoon or so, depending on how much ham you're using. 3 of the small cans will make up 20 or so sandwiches. Make half wheat and half white, as you should on all of them.

Chopped pickles
1 sm can chopped olives
Salt, if you desire
Follow the directions for the ham, except adding these ingredients.
RECIPES
NOTE: Some recipes are not exact measurements--they can't be quantified. Use the mix & taste method.
Follow the directions for the ham, except adding these ingredients. Also, you don't have to run the tuna through a processor, just mash it up good..
1 small can chopped olives
1 or 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
2 or 3 stalks celery, chopped
Salt, if you desire
Canned tuna--I use the larger sizes
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Chopped pickles
1 4-cup pkg shredded cheese (or shred your own)
Chopped pickles
1 small can chopped olives
1 large jar diced pimentos, drained
Mayonnaise
Follow the directions for the ham, except adding these ingredients. Again, no food processor required.
Bonus recipe: (Remember, I'm not too good at this measuring thing, so most of this is approximate. But, boy, is it good!
Chicken Pasta Salad
1 pkg of Elbow Macaroni
(I used a 12-oz one)
2 large cans cooked chicken
1 can pineapple chunks
(drained)
1 cup walnut halves
1 cup celery, chopped
1 can mandarin oranges
(not drained)
1/2 cup Craisins
2 cups chopped apples
(prepare them first and let
them sit in something like
Fruit Fresh)
Mayonnaise
Miracle Whip
Cook the macaroni and let cool. While it's cooking, put everything else but the mayo and Miracle Whip into a bowl. Stir it all up together. Drain the cooked macaroni and put into the bowl. Stir it all up together really good.
Add in the mayo and Miracle Whip. I would "guess" you need about 2 cups of mayo and 1 cup of Miracle Whip. Use about a two to one combination.
Put covered into the refrigerator and let sit overnight. Serve cold. Warning: Highly addictive! And if you make the mistake of taking it to a work potluck luncheon, you'll have to keep making it forever for them.
